The ignition distributor rotor is mounted on the distributor shaft and rotates with the engine to direct high voltage from the ignition coil to each distributor-cap terminal and spark plug in the correct firing order. It is designed as a direct replacement for selected classic Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot petrol vehicles equipped with a conventional high-voltage distributor ignition system.
